Niraan – The Tent City, Varanasi is a luxurious tented accommodation located near the ghats in Varanasi, India.

It is located on the riverbank of Ganga opposite to Dashashwamedh Ghat. We provide pick-up and drop facility from Namo Ghat via a boat ride. If you want to visit it by road, you can reach Katesar and come to our property.

Package Information

Niraan – The Tent City, Varanasi offers packages for 1 night or 2 nights. Guests also have the option to stay without a package, following standard check-in and check-out procedures.

Packages typically include to and fro from Namo Ghat on designated timings via boat ride, accommodation, meals, guided tours, cultural programs, and access to festival events.

While we respect all cultural and religious observances, our diverse menu is designed to cater to a vegetarian audience. Liquor is strictly prohibited.

Niraan – The Tent City, Varanasi has a first aid centre and a doctor-on-call for any emergencies.

Yes, we offer rejuvenation services where guests can indulge in traditional Indian wellness treatments. It is not a part of any package though.

Environmental Concerns

We follow sustainable practices, including waste management, and water conservation. The entire tent city is built temporarily.

Weather and Climate

The festival is held during the months of winter. Days are generally warm and sunny with temperatures ranging from 25°C to 30°C, while nights can be cold, with temperatures dropping to 10°C or lower.

Packing Tips for Niraan - The Tent City, Varanasi

You should pack comfortable clothing, both light for daytime and warm for nighttime, sturdy shoes, personal medications, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat or scarf, a camera, and a power bank.

For elderly visitors, it’s advisable to pack extra medications, a light blanket or shawl for sudden temperature drops, comfortable footwear, and perhaps a walking stick if they need assistance with mobility.

For toddlers and young children, pack essentials like baby food, diapers, a baby carrier or stroller, extra clothing, and toys or books to keep them engaged. Also, consider bringing a hat and sunscreen to protect their sensitive skin. We provide milk to them if required.

Sturdy, comfortable shoes or sandals are ideal.

Carry extra batteries or a power bank, as the cold can drain battery life faster. Lens protectors or covers can help protect against sand. A tripod can be useful for night photography.

Considering the air, moisturising lotion, lip balm, and hydrating face mists can be beneficial. Also, a basic first-aid kit with band-aids, antiseptic wipes, and pain relievers should come in handy.

Yes, if you have known allergies, especially to dust, it’s advisable to carry antihistamines or any prescribed medications. Also, a face mask can help in case of strong winds.
